Kay Creatives of Tucson, Arizona
I spent my professional career teaching English to high school and college students. For 40 years, my students and I weaved our way into the intricacies of 19th century American Romanticism, explored the multiplicity of themes in 20th century American Modernism, and challenged the portrayal of history in 18th century Colonial literature. As a literature and composition teacher, I loved my work. It is from this source my ideas spring for my jewelry recreations.
My mother, who passed away in 2004, was a gifted artist. When she retired, she turned her attention full time to creating beautiful shell and paper craft Angels (and other items). She loved angels. She began selling at local arts & crafts fairs and donated to hospital gift shops in western Pennsylvania. She peddled her wares under her own name, Annabelle’s Angels. I have my personal collection - items that she made specifically for her only daughter - but when I began the task of cleaning out her “craft” room, I found many pieces that she had finished but had yet to sell. I now offer these One-of-a-Kind beauties for sale here in my shop.
